Revamped Distribution Scheme – Jammu & Kashmir (PGCIL & KPDCL)

    The project aimed to strengthen the electricity distribution network in Jammu & Kashmir by supplying Steel Tubular Poles under the Revamped Distribution Sector (RDS) Scheme for Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (PGCIL) and Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Ltd. (KPDCL). These poles were essential for improving energy infrastructure in the region.

    • Strict delivery timelines, requiring the supply of 2,107 Steel Tubular Poles within 21 days to support rapid electrification.
    • Ensuring compliance with technical specifications (410 SP15, 410 SP33, 410 SP56) while maintaining high-quality standards.
    • Navigating challenging terrain in Jammu & Kashmir, ensuring timely delivery, quality assurance, and Material Test Certificates (MTC) along with the vehicle for seamless execution.

    Utkarsh India successfully addressed these challenges by:

    • Precision Manufacturing: Implemented swaging processes to produce 8m, 9m, and 11m Steel Tubular Poles, ensuring adherence to PGCIL & KPDCL’s technical standards.
    • Optimised Logistics & Route Planning: Developed a specialised transportation strategy to ensure smooth delivery within the 21-day timeline despite difficult terrain.
    • Rigorous Quality Control: Conducted multi-stage quality inspections, ensuring all poles met industry and regulatory standards before dispatch.
